Among the measurable effects of the research project Adaptation of tools enabling the diagnosis of the quality of physical and social environment of development of children between the age of 6 and 36 months there are: initial identification of risk factors and favourable-development factors present in the physical and social space of small children in Poland, elaboration of a number of directions facilitating the complex diagnosis of the level of pro-developmental character of the environment, and preparation of a list of directions for people who are directly responsible for the organization and/or evaluation of the quality of physical and social space of the child’s development. The authors also describe the process of the Polish adaptation of the AHEMD questionnaire (Affordances in the Home Environment for Motor Development) and IT-HOME Inventory (Infant/Toddler Home Observation for Measurement of the Environment).

The Authors of the book are researchers in the Institute of Psychology at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Poland).
